Exam Information
The RCDD®, RTPM, DCDC and OSP exams, and the Installation Program retake exams are administered in a computer-based testing format at Pearson VUE Authorized Training Centers worldwide. Locations of testing centers can be found at www.pearsonvue.com/BICSI
Paper/pencil examinations will be available at a BICSI scheduled exam event or at a participating BICSI Authorized Training Facility (ATF) for installation examinations. Click here to view exam dates.
Registered Communications Distribution Design (RCDD)
Required Experience:
• 5 years of information and communications technology (ICT) industry design experience within the last 10 years, OR
• 2 years of verifiable ICT design experience within the last 10 years and 3 years of additional ICT equivalents chosen from combinations of experience, approved education and approved ICT license/certification (i.e. NTS, WD, CCNA). BICSI reserves the right to determine what is approved curriculum and approved ICT license/certification.

Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM)
Required Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable project management experience, such as planning, execution, and closing of any project. The PM experience does not have to be directly related to telecommunications, but telecommunications experience is a plus. Experience must be within the last 6 years.

Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC)
Required Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of approved and verifiable experience in the field of data center design and/or construction of data centers. Experience must be within the last 6 years.

Outside Plant (OSP)
Required Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable design experience in the field of outside plant. Generic ICT/distribution system design or experience in another area of specialization is not acceptable. Experience must be within the last 6 years.
• Successful completion of the ICT Design Fundamentals examination or hold a current RCDD or RITP credential.

Required Experience:
• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to distinguish between different colors.
• Must possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks.
Installer 2, Copper
Required Experience:
• 1 year of current and verifiable ICT industry installation experience.
• Must be able to distinguish between different colors.
• Must possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks.
Installer 2, Optical Fiber
Required Experience:
• 2 years of current and verifiable ICT industry installation experience.
• Must be able to distinguish between different colors.
• Must possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks.
Technician
Required Experience:
• 3 years of current and verifiable ICT industry installation experience.
• Must be able to distinguish between different colors.
• Must possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks.
